Need medical expense shortfall cover?
Zestlife Gap Cover pays the medical expense shortfalls when your medical aid does not cover the the full amount that doctors and specialists charge for in-hospital, and certain out-of-hospital treatments.
While your MediWallet Account will cover your expenses for day-to-day out-of-hospital expenses at any MediWallet Network Partner, Gap Cover will ensure you’re covered for the specialist and in-hospital expenses.
Gap Cover is available to all members of South African registered medical aids (you need to belong to a medical aid). There is no maximum entry age and cover continues without a maximum expiry age.
Premiums listed valid for 2025 and updated every year on 1 January.

You can enhance your Gap Cover policy by adding Extended Cancer Cover with a benefit payout of R120 000 or R240 000 to cover unexpected costs which may arise as a result of the cancer diagnosis.
